The coronavirus pandemic has had a considerable impact on our industry, and the current energy crisis is also posing major challenges for those involved. But how are fitness and health centers in Switzerland dealing with such challenges? And where do we currently stand in our development? These and other questions are explored in the “Key data on the Swiss fitness industry”. As a statistical survey of the Swiss fitness market, it sheds light on key figures and thus provides important insights. The research project is being carried out by swiss active in cooperation with the German University for Prevention and Health Management (DHfPG).
Key data study as an impressive “business card”
As a scientific study, the collection of anonymized key data creates transparency and reveals the growth potential of the industry. Fitness and health centers thus receive important economic data on membership numbers and center structure, among other things. This strengthens their position vis-à-vis investors and politicians.

The key data thus provides fitness centers and health centers with a meaningful regional and Swiss-wide “business card” for presenting themselves to politicians, financial institutions, the press and media, as well as society in general.

How to take part in the study!
All fitness and health center operators in Switzerland are invited to take part in the survey of key data in the form of an online questionnaire. The study partners guarantee careful handling of all information and confidential data, as the data evaluation is completely anonymous – it is therefore impossible to draw individual conclusions about the participating centers. Furthermore, the answers are guaranteed not to be passed on to third parties. The results of the “Key data on the Swiss fitness industry 2023” are expected to be published in mid-2023.
