How is the Swiss fitness industry developing?
For the fifth consecutive year, swiss active is presenting the comprehensive key figures study of the Swiss fitness industry – a central benchmark for the sector’s development. The results will be presented live at a public industry conference on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, in Bern.
A look into the future of the industry
Last year’s study revealed strong growth in membership numbers, revenue and employment. The key question now is whether the industry was able to maintain this level in 2024 – or even expand it further. The new study provides detailed answers. It was once again conducted in cooperation with the German University for Prevention and Health Management (DHfPG) – this time with additional support from the SAFS University of Movement and Health Management in Zurich.
