“Welcome to City Circle Solothurn!”
We are delighted to announce that we have a new center member on board at swiss active: City Circle Solothurn. As part of the new membership, we interviewed City Circle Solothurn. Find out why City Circle Solothurn has joined swiss active in the following interview with Managing Director Sue Laubscher.
City Circle Solothurn offers its services in the following areas:
The City Circle is characterized by its diverse range of group courses. These can be adapted to individual circumstances, meaning that the training sessions are open to everyone – regardless of age or fitness level. The courses take place outdoors in the fresh air of Solothurn or indoors in the multifaceted functional fitness hall, as both environments have their benefits. We want to get people away from the computer/mobile phone/sofa and out into life! We believe that an active, sociable lifestyle is the best way to prevent modern social diseases (burnout, exhaustion, depression, diabetes, obesity, etc.). Sport should not be a torture or a must, but a welcome change from everyday working life, where you can meet friends, socialize and do something for your health at the same time.
With this membership, we hope that swiss active will do more to ensure that more preventive activities (exercise, sport, fitness, BGM measures, club training, etc.) are covered or subsidized by service providers. Medical costs (absence from work, therapies, medication, operations, etc.) are enormously more expensive and could – not in all cases – but in many cases be reduced or even avoided altogether. Sport and exercise is an effective form of medicine that should be supported and promoted more intensively.
The studio of the future should offer holistic solutions, utilize synergies and work more closely with the various bodies (employers, service providers, therapists, etc.). We want sport to be integrated into people’s everyday lives on a long-term and sustainable basis. What is normal as a child is often lost in the course of growing up and the increasing pressure to perform (job, family, etc.). Working models and times should be reconsidered and modernized so that sport can once again become a fixed and accepted part of life.
