From next Saturday, fitness studios will once again be able to train without masks and major restrictions. IG Fitness welcomes this relaxation: the mask requirement and capacity restrictions will be lifted from Saturday, June 26, 2021. However, contact details must still be collected. For the members of IG Fitness – more than 500 fitness center operators throughout Switzerland – this marks the start of something like normal operations.
“We have waited so long for this day. I’m delighted that we can train again without any restrictions,” says Roger Erni, Managing Director of IG Fitness.
“Above all, however, this is an essential step towards ensuring profitability for the owners and an important step for the Swiss population: out of physical inactivity and into a better attitude to life and body”. Many people lacked regular exercise during the pandemic, resulting in unloved health complaints such as back pain or coronavirus-related kilos. Now all members can resume their exercise habits. Targeted physical training and conscious relaxation strengthen the immune system, activate self-regulation and lead to greater balance and satisfaction. “But it’s not just about physical health. Many people appreciate the social aspect and mutual motivation when exercising,” emphasizes Erni.
